Itzamná was considered a hero in Mayan culture and recognized for giving the Maya the foundations of civilization. He taught them to grow corn, write, use calendars, practice medicine, and the importance of spiritual and religious practices. He’s also known for his relationship with the moon goddess Ixchel. Itzamná represents wisdom and the transfer of knowledge. This potent herbal blend is crafted with copal, dogwood bark, and dried chili. Itzamná Incense is an herbal blend of copal, dogwood bark, and dried chili. Dogwood is a tree sacred to Itzamná and the Mayan people. Work with this herb for loyalty, protection, passion, fertility, desire, happiness, and comfort. Dogwood builds confidence, helps you keep an open mind, and facilitates connections to your ancestral guides. Ancient Mayans used copal in purification, protection, healing, divination, love, and other spiritual ceremonies. They burned its resin on top of pyramids as an offering to their gods. Dried chili was a sacred plant to the Mayans as well, and it symbolizes the fire of the sun.
