The Magic of May

In May, we imagine possibility and dare to dream. May is the 5th month, and the number 5 holds the energy of abundance, change, and transformation. It calls for freedom, adventure, and creativity. May is an ideal time to take risks, explore new opportunities, and spur your dreams. 

The month begins with Beltane — a celebration of fire, fertility, sex, and abundance to ignite your passion and spark your desires. Now is the time to tap into spring’s bounty and manifest the life you seek as we inch toward summer when all comes to fruition. 

About the Month of Magic

We designed these affordable, mini-sized tools to last you for the entire month they represent. Within each set, you’ll find a new set of tools connected to the energy of the month. There will be a set every month so you can collect them all. It’s something so magical to look forward to!

Our advice to beginners: Begin here. Advanced practitioners: Add these tools to the altars you have already built.

Once each set sells out, it will not be back! Collect them all and enjoy them. Work with and use the tools. Allow them to summon you back to old-world magic, the way it used to be.

Snake Incense Holder

Size: About 1”

This metal alloy incense holder takes the form of a transformative snake, waiting to slither in new directions. Its tail cradles and supports your incense stick. Additionally, its coiled bodice holds a bright red rhinestone accent, adding vibrant life force to your smudging practice.  

The Symbolism of Snakes

Snake spirit animal is the quintessence of transformation. Before snakes shed their skin, their eyes cloud over, blocking their vision and giving them a trance-like appearance. This represents the ability to move between the living and the dead. Their sight returns once the skin starts shedding. Snake Medicine teaches us that clarity and new perspectives come through releasing the old and braving the unknown.

May Month of Magic Incense Stick

Size: About 11”

We created this incense stick here at SG headquarters. It features a bouquet that powerfully purifies your space and fills it with positivity and prosperity. It contains notes of thyme, amber, rose, birch, Buddha wood, cedarwood, tobacco, and peach.

• Thyme is purifying and supports the process of releasing and forgiving. It’s an herb of remembrance that enhances psychic powers and renews energy.
• Amber brings balance, harmony, and inspiration to the soul. It’s regarded as a ‘fire oil’ and associated with the Sun. It’s also a popular aphrodisiac.
• Rose encourages soul connection and opens channels of receptivity. It’s a flower of promises, new beginnings, hope, and healing and promotes happiness and commitment.
• Birch purifies the auric field, helps you release energy that no longer serves, and assists in calling your energy back. It’s grounding and centering and facilitates the renewal of your sense of self and power.
• Buddha wood, or Australian desert rosewood, is a rare oil that brings grounding and presence and deepens meditation.
• Cedarwood cleanses, protects, and preserves; brings success, wealth, and fertility. It also fosters determination, discipline, and psychic ability. It’s a magical powerhouse.
• Tobacco brings visions, greater consciousness, healing, guidance, and well-being.
• Peach brings vitality and abundance as their blossoms appear before the leaves. Peaches are also a fruit of Venus, bringing love along with hope, positivity, stability, and strength.

May Month of Magic Perfume Mist

Size: 1oz

We handcrafted this blend at SG with notes of thyme, amber, rose, birch, buddha wood, cedarwood, tobacco, and peach. It comes in an amber-colored spray bottle. We also infused it with a rutilated quartz chip for transformation and manifestation power.

May Month of Magic Intention Candle

Size: 3 oz

We lovingly hand-poured this candle at Sage Goddess Headquarters with a red soy-wax blend in a clear glass jar. It contains clarifying and revitalizing notes of thyme, peach, and peppermint. You can find the properties of thyme and peach above. 

We infused each candle with carnelian — a fiery gem of passion. Each candle also has a clear quartz point to amplify and direct magic. And of course, it’s not complete without a sprinkle of shimmery mica for spiritual guidance!

• Peppermint purifies and refreshes energy. It relieves feelings of stress, fear, and pain and clears negative vibrations. Peppermint is uplifting and rejuvenating and encourages acceptance and trust. 

The Properties of Carnelian 

Carnelian, also known as red agate, is a gem of fire that brings courage and a creative spark.

• Activates the Sacral Chakra for heightened creativity, pleasure, sensuality, and passion.
• Great to work with when striving for your goals because it’s empowering, increases energy, and enhances endurance and stamina.
• Turns on desire, brings optimism and reminds you that you’re divinely alive.
• Brings the courage needed to kick your ideas, visions, and dreams into high gear.

Tumbled Healer’s Gold
