What is Beltane?

May 1 is Beltane in the Northern Hemisphere, and on that day, we honor nature’s oldest love story. Beltane means ‘bright fire,’ and in earth-based traditions, it represents the marriage of the God and Goddess after being separated all winter long.

It’s the sexiest holiday of the year — it honors fertility, abundance, sex, and the growth of everything beautiful on Earth. Beltane is wildly hedonistic and overflowing with passion, creativity, fire, and, most of all, fun!

Together, we’ll work with the tools in this kit to connect with our inner goddess energy, embracing our passion and power as we step into our roles as creators capable of manifesting all that we desire.

You’ll receive the following:

Flower Crown Crafting Set

This set includes everything you need to craft your very own flower crown. It comes with a carbon steel headband, a colorful assortment of fake flowers and leaves on pliable wire, and yellow ribbon, all packaged in a golden organza bag. We’ll don our flower crowns together in ritual to honor the joy and new life that spring brings and invoke the passionate energy of the Goddess.

The Symbolism of Flower Crowns

Flower crowns have played a significant role in Beltane and May Day celebrations for thousands of years, symbolizing love, fertility, and the bounty of spring. Ancient Roman women donned them during their May Day festivities to honor Flora, the goddess of fertility and nature. In the Pagan rituals of Northern Europe, young women would put on flower crowns before dancing around the maypole on Beltane.

Aura Quartz Point Clip-On Set 

Size: About 0.5-1” each

This set comes with 10 aura quartz points, each wire-wrapped and attached to a metal alloy chain with a clasp enclosure, perfect for clipping onto your flower crown. You will receive two each of the following: green, yellow, red, blue, and pink aura quartz.

Crystal points are great tools for directing energy. They harness the output of energy, and you can work with them to send that energy wherever desired or needed.

The Properties of Aura Quartz

Aura quartz is clear quartz that has been bonded with metals, creating an iridescent metallic sheen and reflection of brilliant rainbows. The aura treatment stimulates both body and spirit through its powerful vibrations, while clear quartz amplifies energies and intentions. Different aura treatments result in different colors, each bringing their own medicine.

Maypole Crafting Set

This set includes all the components you need to craft your own maypole. The maypole was traditionally erected in fields or town squares to dance around on May Day. However, your maypole will be the perfect size to keep on your altar or desk, making it ideal for calling the magic of Beltane into your home.

The History of the Maypole

The maypole has been central to Beltane celebrations since ancient times. Adorned with flowers and colorful ribbons, the maypole symbolizes female energies wrapping themselves around the male form. Traditionally, young women would dance in circles around the maypole, wrapping it in ribbon as they went, in a celebration of fertility and new life.

Together, we’ll work with our maypoles in ritual to invoke the passion of the Goddess, celebrate our sensuality, and honor our role as creators. Your kit will include:

Poplar Wood Pole

Size: 8”

This offering will serve as the centerpiece of your maypole. The poplar tree is associated with hope, abundance, and the promise of revival. It helps mend feelings and relationships and draws in spirits, facilitating higher realm connection.

Palo Santo Slice

This will serve as the base of your maypole. Shamans have worked with palo santo medicine for thousands of years. It’s physically and spiritually cleansing, enhances clarity, restores tranquility, promotes joy, and inspires creativity. Palo santo also deepens your connection with Divine Source and enhances meditation.

Multicolored Sari Silk Strips

You will receive four pieces of colorful sari silk to serve as the ribbon for your maypole — please allow my team to intuitively choose the right pieces for you. 

Sari means ‘strip of cloth’ in Sanskrit and is worn by women throughout India. When the sari would start coming apart, the women would take the silk and create beautiful crafts for the home. Eventually, the sari silk ribbon was born and can now be seen adding its beautiful colors to many things.

Ribbon Roses

You will receive 10 ribbon roses for decorating your maypole. The rose is a famous symbol of love, luck, youth, beauty, passion, and attraction. It’s a flower of promises, new beginnings, hope, and healing and promotes happiness and commitment.

Aura Resin Butterflies

You will receive five of these cute little butterflies to place on and around your maypole. The butterfly is an iconic symbol of transformation and represents the soul, joy, change, and color. Butterfly Medicine helps you release the old to make room for the new. It invites you to consider what stage of change you’re in and who you’re becoming.

Knocked Up Perfume

Size: 30 ml

We handcrafted my Knocked Up Perfume right here at Sage Goddess Headquarters to honor and activate your ability to birth new creations into the world. It features a rose hydrosol base with notes of rose, gardenia, pink lotus, palmarosa, rue, and cardamom to support your soul work. We also infused each spray bottle with a citrine chip stone for extra manifestation power.

• Rose is a famous symbol of love, luck, youth, beauty, passion, and attraction. It has one of the highest-vibrational frequencies of all plants, encouraging soul connection and opening channels of receptivity.
• Gardenia is gentle, sensual, calming, cooling, uplifting, and arousing. The gardenia flower is shaped as a five-pointed star, symbolizing prosperity and manifestation.
• Pink lotus symbolizes a pure spirit and the cycle of spiritual growth. Work with the pink lotus to honor where you are on your soul’s journey.
• Palmarosa is emotionally balancing and uplifting. It eases physical and emotional tension.
• Rue is a potent protective oil. Working with rue cleanses you spiritually, emotionally, and energetically.
• Cardamom is an oil of creativity, spirituality, and sensuality. It brings focus, clarity, and direction, and can aid in a spiritual awakening.

Knocked Up Intention Candle

Size: 3 oz

We hand-poured these candles right here at Sage Goddess Headquarters with notes of rose, gardenia, lilac, amber, rue, and cardamom. To add to the magic, we infused each pink soy wax candle with a tumbled aura flower agate for passion and peace. For a finishing touch, we topped them with dried flowers, glitter, mica for illumination, and a clear quartz point to direct and amplify magic.

• Lilac is known for its ability to call in energies of harmony and balance. It’s the delicate fragrance of the Goddess embodied.
• Amber brings balance and harmony to the soul and is associated with the Sun as a ‘fire oil.’ Its earthy and grounding scent indulges your senses, connecting you to your deepest sensuality.
