Bloodstone, also known as heliotrope, is primarily evergreen jasper with inclusions of red and sometimes yellow jasper. The red drops look like blood but are really iron oxide. When yellow jasper is present, it is called the plasma of the bloodstone.

These are really tiny stones. All the better to throw around altars, decorate candles and throw into my fairy gardens! You get a really good quantity with the 1 oz. and I love having the really small stones to throw around everywhere without being obvious.
