‘Kansa’ is a Hindi word for bronze. It was regarded as a durable metal during the Bronze Age, and the Harappans, the Indus Valley peoples, created the Kansa. The Kansa was used to make beautiful traditional bowls for wedding gifts, gongs, bells, housewares, sacred statues, armors, and more. It was also believed to have great healing properties and was incorporated into Ayurveda treatments.
