The deeper magic of my Magnum Opus Incense Sticks

Did you know that incense was the first form of perfume? The word “perfume” literally means “through smoke,” and our ancestors used incense to scent their bodies. Ancient Egyptians and Romans would “perfume” the air with the incense they burned. They believed that the sacred smoke of incense would raise all surrounding vibrations and assist them in their magical practice. Burning incense is a great way to smudge and it connects us with the ancients in a powerful and beautiful way.

Alchemy is a process of transforming one substance, state of being, thought form, or creation into another. Alchemy is the process of becoming YOU – fully, passionately, and unapologetically. The first alchemists understood there was much more to this universe than could meet the human eyes. They studied ways of working with sacred geometry, frequency, vibration, and energy to transcend the third-dimensional state of reality – this here/now human experience. My Magnum Opus Incense Sticks are designed to take you through the seven stages of alchemy: Calcination, dissolution, separation, conjunction, fermentation, distillation, and coagulation. Each of the ingredients in these incense sticks coincides with these stages:

Vetiver to symbolize calcination and create the scent of fire/burning. Vetiver is my favorite oil for grounding. It provides a powerful sense of balance for the mind, body, and soul. Working with vetiver brings deep peace and purification. It also uplifts your mood and helps you find your center.

Ylang ylang and musk to symbolize dissolution and create the scent of rain/water. Ylang ylang helps the heart to open, which facilitates the healing of deep emotional trauma. It cultivates inner joy, trust, and a true openness of heart. Musk is hailed as a love oil – arousing passion and heightening sexual pleasure. It’s also a meditation oil that reduces stress, helps you work through fear, and purifies energy.

Balsam copaiba to symbolize separation. It supports you as you separate the elements within yourself. Balsam copaiba detoxifies, heals, and eases stress and tension. It’s grounding, strengthening, and promotes joy and well-being.

Kewra to symbolize conjunction. Kewra opens the spirit to divine wisdom, bridges the heart and mind, and invites inspiration and creativity.

Chaga mushroom and cepes to symbolize fermentation. Chaga mushroom is known as the “Mushroom of Immortality.” It’s healing, aids in dreamwork, and powerfully opens and activates the Third Eye Chakra. Cepes is made from wild French mushrooms with a gorgeous, earthy scent. Like most mushrooms, it helps bring things buried in the subconscious to the surface, so you can face and integrate them.

Opoponax to symbolize distillation. Opoponax is an incredible guide in lucid dreaming, trance work, vision questing, deep meditation, and outer realm connection.

Jasmine grandiflorum to symbolize coagulation. Jasmine grandiflorum is the best of the best type of jasmine. Its flowers are entirely white and grow in larger clusters than the rest of its species. Jasmine is a mystical flower associated with the Divine Feminine, divination, and moon magic. It’s one of the most expensive oils in the world and a seductive aphrodisiac that arouses sensuality and attracts physical and spiritual love, as well as all kinds of abundance.

Finally, royal green Hojari frankincense resin – the highest quality frankincense there is. It has a cleaner, more elegant, and rounded scent compared to regular frankincense. Frankincense is protective, grounding, purifying, and can transport you into a deep meditative state. It connects you to Source energy.
