The origin of harem pants dates back nearly 2,000 years. Harem pants are believed to originate from the dress-like tunic called Dhoti, traditionally worn as a men’s garment in the eastern world. These pants made their way to the West in the 1800s, becoming a popular uniform among feminists and women, as they represented freedom and liberation.
