As part of my Shadow Trilogy series, I created these Shadow Trilogy Manta Mats – a stunning custom-made SG original artwork mat that is brimming with symbolism to honor the shadow season and its three holidays: Lammas, Mabon, and Samhain. This Shadow Trilogy Manta Mat is the base for all three of our Shadow Trilogy sets, intended to be used to hold all the tools for Lammas, Mabon, and Samhain into one mega altar. This manta mat is rich in depth and its vibrant colors and intricate patterns will awaken your senses. Divided into three layers – each representing one of the three Wheel of the Year shadow season holidays, you can also work with these manta mats to grid or adorn your shadow season altar or sacred space.

We’ll work with these Shadow Trilogy Sang Bleu Lammas Set tools at my free live Lammas Event on August 1 to connect with our blue blood and journey through the Upper World. The deeper magic of these Shadow Trilogy Manta Mats
The top layer of the Shadow Trilogy Manta Mat symbolizes Lammas. This is the first harvest celebration of shadow season, honoring the god Lughnasadh. Lammas is the lightest part of shadow season. Night force is gaining strength now, but we’re still in the light or above the horizon symbolically. Astrologically, it’s Leo season. Before we go further into darkness, we explore the light. We can’t have one without the other. This light also guides us throughout the entire shadow season.
The middle layer symbolizes Mabon, the celebration of the second shadow season harvest. Mabon is also known as the Autumnal Equinox and on this day, daytime and nighttime are of equal length. It’s an energetic cusp of perfect balance, represented by Libra, the ever-seeking sign of balance, and as we cross over, we step into the shadowy half of the year. Here in the Northern Hemisphere, the days grow shorter, the nights grow longer, and the leaves on trees begin to change colors, reminding us that we, too, are going through changes.
The bottom layer symbolizes Samhain. The word Samhain means Summer’s End in Gaelic. It falls on October 31, marking the end of harvest season and the beginning of the Celtic New Year. Samhain is like a velvet curtain between worlds that is both thin and dark, comforting and protective, mysterious and magical, just like Scorpio – the ever-mysterious, deep, and transformative sign. On October 31, we say goodbye one last and final time to what the year has brought and taken from us.
Work with your Shadow Trilogy Manta Mat as a base for your Shadow Trilogy tools and to integrate your own darkness in order to come into more wholeness. May you be open to witness the beauty in each of these phases and allow yourself to be deeply transformed.
This listing is for one (1) 8×11” Shadow Trilogy Manta Mat. Yours will arrive lovingly parceled and ready for your enjoyment.
