I absolutely adore these rainbow onyx elephants. There is a soft spot in my heart for these giant, majestic creatures. They are known for their incredible capacity to remember, and for their paramount intelligence among other species of the animal kingdom. And did you know? – they are one of the only mammals apart from humans that cry tears in response to emotional triggers. Separated from her young, a mother elephant has been known to cry tears of sorrow; freed from captivity or reunited with his herd, an elephant has been known to shed tears of joy and relief. We humans share a connection with elephants in this way.
