July 2018 AroMagic Set: Herbs and Oils for the Mystery of Magi

AroMagic is my course on aromatherapy and herbal magic. This year, we are exploring “A World of Magic,” where I take students through a spiritual exploration of global civilizations and meta-cultures. The herbs and oils covered in each class will be available for purchase every month in a special AroMagic set. Members will learn about the metaphysical properties of the herbs and oils, and how to use them to make hand-crafted products for personal use.

Each month, we learn about the herbs and essential oils of a different civilization. Our exploration spans from ancient to contemporary times. Together, we tap into the power of these herbs and essential oils, infusing our own modern practices with their ancient magic. Included in our discovery are each culture’s traditional culinary and medicinal practices, and the associated myth and lore.

This set includes the oils and herbs that accompany July’s AroMagic class. Essential oils carry the energetic properties of the plant they were extracted from. Working with these sacred tools will deepen the medicinal energy of the plant through the power of aromatherapy. This is where the olfactory system, which is linked to our deepest subconscious, comes in. We literally tap into our deepest memories through the power of scent. July 2018 AroMagic Set: Herbs and Oils for the Mystery of Magi

This July we will explore ancient Persia – a culture that put the utmost importance on beauty and purification. In this AroMagic set, you will find an assortment of oils and herbs that will help you purify your mind, body, and soul, and forgive your flaws. The Persian Magi were known for their ethics. Their rituals focused on purification – keeping the mind, body, and the environment pure in the quest to defeat evil. They believed that it was necessary to reflect upon oneself before offering a mirror to those around them.

With this toolset we are setting you up with your own purity ritual, to reflect upon your own soul path through ancient gateways. You can see others, but you need to cleanse and reflect upon yourself before offering a mirror to those around you. Persians were also all about beauty, and this set goes soul deep with ancient herbs and oils that have translated to many cultures.

I won’t reveal too much here, because we will be exploring the properties of these botanicals more deeply in our classroom this July – but I can tell you this is a special opportunity you absolutely won’t want to miss!

Included in this set are the following:

One (1) 5 ml bottle of myrrh essential oil. Myrrh is one of the most ancient resins. Its healing, protective, and balancing properties bring peace to the body, mind, and soul. Myrrh links with the pathway of the soul, where we face many crossroads. Its aroma lifts stagnant vibrations, aiding those who are in need of an energetic rescue.

One (1) 5 ml bottle of olibanum essential oil. Olibanum accompanies myrrh on the list of ancient resins/oils. It was once valued as highly as gold, as it was considered one of the holy anointing oils throughout the Middle East. Olibanum has traditionally been used in cleansing rituals, burned to rid of evil spirits and purify the mind, body, and soul.

One (1) 1 oz tin of artemisia mugwort. Artemisia mugwort is a native plant to Persia, where it grows wild. Mugwort is an ancient and highly magical herb. It can be carried in a sachet for protection, placed under one’s pillow to aid prophecy in dreamstate, burned as a smudge to create protected space for divination, or smoked to enhance psychic vision, astral projection, and lucid dreaming.

One (1) 1 oz tin of skullcap.  Skullcap is a long-trusted herb for promoting relaxation. It is known to bring fidelity, love and peace. There are 20 known species of skullcap native to Persia! Skullcap is a restorative herb as it enhances mediation, provides mental clarity, and cleanses one’s space of disruptive or frantic energy. This herb is also know to promote peace and harmony.

As a bonus to this set, you will also receive one (1) dram of Magi with notes of labdanum, galbanum, rose, rose attar, and white sage. These are the potent oils of sensuality, love, peace, purification, and protection.
