Welcome to the middle of shadow season! The Shadow Trilogy Sang Rouge Mabon Set is the second in my Shadow Trilogy sets, with Mabon falling on September 21st this year, honoring Lammas, Mabon, and Samhain. These three sets combine into one mega shadow season altar; a three-part harvest mesa. I’m thrilled to bring you a new perspective on these important holidays inspired by my travels to Paris. This year, I’m teaching about the symbolism of blood, or “sang” in French, as a way to amplify your own life force. Don’t worry, we’re not working with real blood – sang is metaphorical for the life that runs through us.
There are three kinds of blood. Your blue blood (sang bleu means blue blood in French), connects you to your higher sovereign self and your angels. Your red blood (sang rouge) is your living mortal blood that connects you to this Earth and your body and facilitates manifestation in the physical realm. Your black/brown blood is your ancestral blood (sang noir) that connects you to the past and tethers you to your past life wisdom.
Each harvest festival aligns with one of the shamanic worlds: Lammas to the Upper World of akashic guidance, angelic inspiration, and higher sovereign energies. Blue blood is our link to this layer of consciousness. Mabon aligns to the Middle World of our mortal lives, communities, and soul contracts for this lifetime. Red blood links to our present life and waking consciousness. Samhain aligns to the Lower World of bones, crystals, and creepy crawlers who teach us how to navigate tight, dark, shadowy spaces and the cobwebs of our past in service of our growth and ascension. Black blood links us to our past lives and our ancestral bones.
This year, I’ll lead you on three shamanic journeys throughout shadow season – to the Upper, Middle, and Lower Worlds. Represented as a tree, the Lower World is the roots, Middle World is the trunk, and Upper World is the branches. In this set, we’re working with the Middle World; the tree’s trunk, which represents where we live and breathe today, our local realm of human creation and the mortal coil of time and space. The trunk sits firmly between the branches and roots, just as we sit in our current consciousness between the higher and lower realms that we reach towards to connect to in this lifetime.

The tools in my Shadow Trilogy Sang Rouge Mabon Set
First, you’ll receive one (1) 6 oz Sang Rouge Amphora Bottle. This is a gorgeous specialty bottle. The hand-dipped glass is red like sang rouge. This bottle is designed to be used as a vessel to store your herbs, essential oils, and carrier oil together. This process allows you to alchemize your herbal potion.
Next, you’ll receive one (1) dram of Sang Rouge Pure Essential Oil Blend. I gathered the most magical, red-hued essential oils to create this blend, which was inspired by the harvesting of fruits during Lammas. Red mandarin is cleansing and will enhance and elevate your mood, bringing feelings of joy and satisfaction. Ruby red grapefruit uplifts your spirit and energy. Red rose opens the heart and soul to deeper connections, especially those related to the spirit. It eases fear and stress, softens hard hearts, and resonates with happiness and contentment. Red champaka absolute is full of feminine beauty and grace and will unleash passion and the goddess within. Blood orange is a mood elevator and invokes feelings of protection while facilitating the flow of suppressed emotion. It also opens the Throat Chakra to promote honest communication. Cinnamon bark stimulates physical and romantic attraction and enhances our natural psychic abilities while raising our vibrational field. Clove attracts good luck and prosperity and encourages the divine actions that bring about manifestation and abundance. Pour this blend into your amphora bottle along with your herbs and carrier oil to create your own Sang Rouge magical potion. Use it to anoint your herbs and candle. Work with this blend to take you more deeply into the Middle Realm of Mabon, to experience the harvest within and around you.
You’ll then receive one (1) 2 oz jar of Sang Rouge Herbs. This blend is infused with potent herbs, mostly red by nature, some of which we’ve never worked with before! Pau d’Arco is native to South America and is even thought to have predated the Incas, who dubbed this tree as “divine” and believed it attracted alpha rays, which give human cells a positive charge. Schisandra berries are harmonizing and balancing. Safflower enhances clairvoyance, divination, and psychic development. Red sandalwood is centering, healing, and aids in deep meditation work. It also increases spiritual energy, vibrations, awareness, and relaxes the Heart and Throat Chakras. Passionflower is calming to the mind while soothing to the spirit. It activates a sense of heightened intuition, repairs the ego, and brings feelings of enlightenment. Hawthorne berries are associated with Mabon as they’re harvested in early Autumn and were traditionally used to make wine and jam for the darker months. These berries cleanse the heart of negativity and stimulate love. Calendula, also known as marigold, is protective, used as a visionary herb, and is a source of light in times of darkness. It’s called the “flower of the sun” because it’s representative of passion, warmth, and creativity. Rosehips attract prosperity and were commonly grown in ancient Egyptian temple gardens.
You’ll also receive one (1) Sang Rouge Beeswax Intention Candle (about 4”), hand-poured right here at SG Headquarters with layers of red beeswax. Light this candle during Mabon to set your intentions and illuminate your space during shadow season and to connect you with the Middle World. Anoint it with your Sang Rouge essential oils and herbs. May it illuminate your path, open you to higher guidance, and help you see what’s ahead.
Next is one (1) 2 oz bottle of Pumpkin Seed Carrier Oil. Pumpkins have long been an emblem of autumn and their seeds are symbolic of plentitude and prosperity. Are you an alchemist at heart? Then you’ll enjoy creating your own Sang Rouge potion by combining this with your Sang Rouge herbs and oil blend in your red amphora bottle. You can also let your blend alchemize and then infuse it with your first and next set of herbs and oils from the Lammas and Samhain Sets to connect all three shadow holidays.

One (1) tumbled dolomite. Dolomite encourages kindness, generosity of spirit, and soothes nerves. It’s known as the “herbal gemstone” because it’s healing to the physical body and auric field. Working with this stone reminds us that we are all one and calls us back to our collective connection with Source.
One (1) tumbled red calcite. Red calcite is a powerful detoxing stone that heals your heart and spirit. It opens and activates your Crown and Root Chakras and gently removes any remnants of old energies.
As a bonus, you’ll also receive one (1) tuning fork. Tuning forks are devices that, when struck, are used to produce sounds at specific frequencies.
