This Lammas ritual candle honors the sabbat Lammas, or first harvest, which falls on August 1 each year and signals the coming of autumn. Now the air grows crisp as the nights lengthen, and the Great Wheel begins its slow turn toward the fall. We celebrate this day by baking bread and creating with our hands to thank Gaia for her bounty.
How to work with this Lammas ritual candle
This candle is made of beige, gold, and yellow sheets of beeswax, which have been anointed with my Solstice perfume. Then, carnelian chip stones (for vitality) and citrine chip stones (for prosperity) are scattered throughout the wax. These layers of color, fragrance, and crystal power intensify the candle magic. Gather your Lammas gems and herbs around this Lammas ritual candle. Once lit, concentrate on the flame. Focus on sending the energies of gratitude out into the universe, and ask graciously for a bountiful harvest, knowing that all will be as it should be. Use it throughout August and up until September 21, which is the Fall Equinox. This candle will look beautiful on your Lammas altar space as you honor the change of season.
Bright blessings to you at this sacred time of year,
