July Desiderata: The Fourth Key to the Universe

In July Desiderata we worked with The Eye of Horus, our fourth Key to the Universe. Originating in ancient Egypt, the image of the Eye of Horus is invoked for deep protection across all planes. It also symbolizes power and health. The Eye of Horus is connected to the pineal gland – our Third Eye – and place of inner knowing and psychic power. Horus was a sky god of ancient Egypt, and his eyes were said to represent the sun and moon. This symbol also provided the ancient Egyptians with a mathematical system of measurement, with the six parts of the eye representing a specific fraction, and corresponding to the senses of sight, smell, thought, hearing, taste, and touch.
