Demantoid garnet is a rare variety of andradite garnet. Like all other forms of garnet, Demantoid garnet carries the qualities of protection, confidence, strength, communication, relationship-building, and creativity. Considered to be one of the most valuable forms of garnet, Demantoid garnet is relished for its transparent green and highly lustrous color. Its name means “diamond-like” and because of this quality of brilliance, it is often called the Star of Garnets.
Demantoid garnet resonates with the Heart Chakra and in this way, is a very beneficial stone to work with when the desire is to remove any obstacles standing in the way of receiving and giving love. A “pledge stone,” Demantoid garnet is often exchanged between lovers to ensure that nothing can come between their love for one another.
