This Strawberry Moon candle pays tribute to the Native American tradition of naming the moon each month, and it aligns to the energies of June’s full moon. The customs of my ancestors are a timeless and boundless gift to my spiritual practice. It is for their wisdom, their magic, their deep connection to both Earth and Spirit that I honor their traditions.  And now you can sign up to receive a rolled full moon candle every month when you subscribe here.

Why we celebrate the Strawberry Moon

Native Americans named each full moon of the year to coincide with certain seasonal activities occurring around that moon. June’s full moon is called the Strawberry Moon. This full moon signified the ripening of fruit, and that it was time to be harvested. It was also known as the full Rose Moon in Europe, where strawberries do not naturally grow.

I created my Strawberry Moon candle specifically that you may use it to pay tribute to this gorgeous, last full moon of spring . It is crafted with sheets of pink and red beeswax, and anointed with my Full Moon perfume blend, with pieces of moonstone scattered throughout the beeswax.

This listing is for one (1) rolled beeswax Strawberry Moon candle.

Full Moon Blessings,

Athena
