The tongue drum is a percussion instrument known for its flying saucer shape and soothing, meditative sounds that can be created by playing the drum with mallets or your hands. This drum is tuned to 440 Hz and has eleven notes to intuitively create beautiful music, whether you have a musical background or not. Each note is tuned to the C major scale and associated with a different chakra to align your energy centers. The deeper magic of this 11 Note Tongue Drum
440 Hz, although not part of the Solfeggio scale, was approved by the American Federation of Musicians in 1917 and later approved through an international agreement to be the standard tone for tuning all musical instruments, ensuring universal uniformity in sound. Music triggers our pleasure centers, releasing dopamine — a ‘feel happy’ neurotransmitter. In addition to making us feel joyous and elated, music has also been associated with an increase in immunity-boosting antibodies, as well as stress relief. I fell in love with this drum. It is easy to play & you get a small music book. I prefer to play intuitively, and it really relaxes you. It produces really good quality sounds and is well worth the price.

My drum arrived today. It has a beautiful tone that is soft and relaxing. While I was play some of the songs I noticed my dogs fell asleep. I wish the book had more information on the care of the drum, it has songs that are easy to get you started playing.
