About Bi-Color Lepidolite
Most lepidolite is purple, but this rare specimen from Brazil features an outer growth of white crystals! This halo is created by muscovite mingling with quartz, albite, and microcline inclusions. It adds an element of higher-realm connection to this already soothing gem.
In order to form, bi-color lepidolite requires particular environmental conditions over a long period. This includes hydrothermal processes that introduce mineral-rich waters through crevasses in rocks, which then crystallize under intense heat and pressure.
