I crafted this Persephone perfume to capture the essence of mystery and the integration of light and shadow that Persephone represents. While Persephone is known as Queen of the Underworld, there was a time prior to her abduction – and that time is relived every year when she emerges from the Underworld, and basks in the season of returning light. (When she returns to Hades, we acknowledge autumn and harvest; the growth ebbing, dying off, and returning into the Earth). So in this sense, Persephone is a symbol of joy, freedom, life, and every flourishing seed. She is also the matriarch of integration and a powerful role model of what it means to embody your full self, light and shadow united.
How to Use this Persephone Perfume
We perform rituals all the time, every day. Big and small. Use this Persephone perfume as a part of your intentional rituals to draw growth, abundance, and light into your life. This is also a perfect blend to simply wear for a sweet, subtle reminder of the bounty this season has brought you already – and will continue to bring. Just as Persephone emerges from the darkness and dances in the light, so do we. And we reap all the gifts of the sun and season.
The most prominent note in this blend is delicious pomegranate. You’ll also delight in hints of almond, honey, and blue lavender. And, I’ve infused the blend with a green aventurine chip stone, to intensify the energies of growth and abundance.
