Did you know that incense was the first form of perfume? The word ‘perfume’ literally means ‘through smoke,’ and our ancestors used incense to scent their bodies. They believed the sacred smoke of incense would raise all surrounding vibrations and assist them in their magical practice. Burning incense is a great way to smudge and connect with the ancients in a powerful and beautiful way.
Palo santo is a sacred wood that grows in South America. Spanish monks discovered its clearing and healing properties and named it palo santo, meaning ‘holy wood.’

At Sage Goddess, we only use sustainably sourced palo santo wood and oils. Our Peruvian partners only harvest wood that has died naturally and has been dead for at least 5 years. We never harm living trees! The dead wood is collected, cleaned, and cut by hand.
In addition, we are committed to replanting trees in the forests where we find our wood. This ensures that our palo santo forests are not susceptible to over-harvesting.

Absolutely love these incense cones! Palo Santo sticks tend to not burn well but the incense cones are awesome! Definitely worth the price and larger than a regular incense cone.

Tried the Paolo Santo cone for the first time, and it emits smoke in a very ceremonial way. I’ve always loved Santo Paolo for years and burnt the stick. I think I will reserve the cones for sacred ceremonies only. I wished it burnt for more than 15 minutes though for the individual cost for one. Still I love it. Thank you for this offering.
