Those who know me know that I ADORE lepidolite. It is the one stone I always have on hand, as it is proven to lighten moods and lift depression. Lepidolite, a natural, crystallized form of lithium, grows with tourmaline and kunzite. Though its most beautiful color and delicate texture appear gentle, its powers are strong and well documented.
Our Native American ancestors had many tourmaline mines on their reservation lands in the southwest and would mine lepidolite and rub the stone, releasing lithium mica into their skin. It mellowed them out, relaxed them, and eased mood disorders. It also helped improve mood and relieve anxiety. Today we know that lepidolite has this effect, even vibrationally. Lepidolite dissipates negative energy – none can sustain in its presence. It is a stone that aids our physical and emotional beings in so many ways, as it provides peaceful sleep, promotes rest and recovery from illness, eases anxiety attacks, and elevates mood. It also regulates emotions. Lepidolite soothes and harmonizes our feelings, leading us to feel more settled, more serene. I even put chunks in my kids’ rooms. It minimizes tantrums!

This is the second piece of Lepidolite I have bought from SG and I love it! I have issues with anxiety, i have since childhood. I do not take medication and this stone helps a lot. I keep this piece by my bed and I carry the tumbled piece with me. I love it so much I think I’m going to get more, this time wire wrapped so I can wear it as a necklace.

It’s beautiful, but the piece I received is so thin that parts of it chip off every time I pick it up. It’s nice to have around, but I can’t hold it and meditate with it or it flakes off in my hands, which is disappointing.

That’s how Lepidolite is, They always chip especially if you have a natural piece. I don’t handle mine all the time it stays on my crystal alter. But at times when I need to hold it I make sure I am careful. 🙂

I love this stone. I’ve had an anxiety disorder my entire life, and the Lepidolite helps to calm me down. However, the stone I received is flat and doesn’t quite match the stones pictured. It is still great, nonetheless.
