I wasn’t prepared for the striking deep emerald green when I unwrapped this lovely one. Just to manage expectations, Jadeite is not sparkly, it is an opaque material. But being very accustomed to jade (I’m Asian, and my family has gifted me many Nephrite jade pieces throughout this lifetime), I was very curious to see what Jadeite looked like. It is such a deep striking color, it almost looks unreal. I almost feel like Dorothy in the land of Oz when I gaze at this beauty! My pic doesn’t do it justice, but you’ll get some idea of what I’m sayin’….
