Seal your letters and rituals in the old ways with this Peacock Feather Wax Seal Stamp. No matter how many years go by, there’s still beauty in old-fashioned paper mail and this stamp is a beautiful way to add a touch of magic to all of your handwritten letters. We had it custom-made just for Sage Goddess with a Paraná pine wood handle, and the stamp features our insignia, the peacock feather. Peacock is said to be the bird closest resembling the phoenix and working with its medicine encourages you to rise up into your best, purest, bravest self. It invites you to show your true colors and share yourself with the world. Take some time to send a loved one a heartfelt note, and pair this stamp with a Traditional Sealing Wax Stick to seal it with a little extra intention and love!

The deeper magic of this Peacock Feather Wax Seal Stamp

Sealing wax melts easily and holds an impression when stamped. Adding your own stamp or seal is a fun way to adorn your written correspondence. Sealing wax was first used in Mesopotamia to authenticate written tablets, and its use in sealing letters dates back to about the 16th century. When the peacock spirit animal shows up, get ready to show all your colors and fan the flames of creativity. Peacock was Hera’s sacred animal and spiritual ally. In ancient Greek mythology, it’s said that Hera, Queen of the Gods, gave the peacock its numerous “eyes,” perhaps to best provide wisdom and insight, or maybe because the eye shape is one of the most fundamental and sacred symbols of protection.

Adding your own stamp is a fun way to adorn your notes – and it’s also a great way to literally seal intentions. If you’re into writing down new moon wishes, try sealing them with wax for an added layer of affirmation. Let your seal be a physical expression of “So it is.” However you choose to work with this Peacock Feather Wax Seal Stamp, may it serve you well. And so it is.

This listing is for one (1) Peacock Feather Wax Seal Stamp (about 0.9-1.2”). Yours will arrive lovingly parceled, ready for your enjoyment.

Blessings,
Athena

It’s really beautiful and priced really well. It didn’t come with a wax stick and I didn’t see any on the website, I think adding that as an option would be great. I gave it a try using some wax melts that were simmering in my warmer and maybe you can’t use that kind of wax or maybe I didn’t let it cool long enough but the wax ended up sticking to the stamp and I had to scrape it off with a toothpick. An instruction card would be helpful. Overall though sage goddess never disappoints. Love love love.
