I am so pleased to be able to offer you these Lakota Medicine Wheels. As many of you know, my tradition is steeped in my native heritage, and I know many of you resonate with this. So, no matter if you’re a new follower, or someone well practiced, these medicine wheels are meant for everyone.
The Native American Medicine Wheel is a sacred symbol of life, of our planet, of our connection to our ancestors and Spirit. And it represents the four cardinal elements and four directions. In Native tradition, the four colors of the four directions are deeply symbolic, holding the energies of those spaces and all they represent. Also, the four directions of the wheel can also be seen to represent:
Stages of life – Birth, youth, adult (or elder), death
Seasons of the year – Spring, summer, winter, fall
Aspects of life – Spiritual, emotional, intellectual, physical
Elements of nature – Fire (or sun), air, water, and earth
Totem animals – Eagle, bear, wolf, buffalo, whale, and many others
Sacred ceremonial plants – Tobacco, sweet grass, sage, cedar
These Lakota Medicine Wheels are carved from wood and feature not only the four directions, but their correspondences as well. Every medicine wheel will include 5 chip stones, four to correspond with every direction, and one beautiful faceted pink tourmaline in the center. Please note that these medicine wheels are made from natural wood, so expect some variation in texture and color. No two are alike. Each is its own unique treasure, born from the creative, loving emanations of Mother Earth.
The deeper magic of these Lakota Medicine Wheels
Your Lakota Medicine Wheel will include the following chip stones to correspond with the four directions, plus a special faceted pink tourmaline gemstone to place in the center of your medicine wheel. The medicine wheel is 5-6″ in diameter.
First, North, the direction of the Elders, of great wisdom and discernment. North is about wisdom, elder council, connection to the Earth and Druid/Faerie magick. White represents this cardinal direction on the wheel. You will receive a howlite chip stone to correspond with North. Howlite is the stress relief stone. It encourages you to let it all go, release any stuck energies, and move on without being weighed down by emotional baggage. Howlite also calls in partnerships, alliances, and friendships to support you.
Next, the South. This represents the element of fire, as well as strong power and courage. And Summer is the season of the Direction of South on the Lakota Medicine Wheel. It is associated with the color red. You will receive a red jasper chip stone to correspond with South. Red jasper is gentle and reassuring in its vibration. This is the stone of emotional cadence and stability, easing emotions into alignment and helping you feel at peace with what is. This stone aids in finding a grounding peace that heals and restores. Red jasper is the stone of controlled passion, bringing erratic emotions into balance and offering insight into your life.
Now, onto West, where we encounter the element of water, and the setting sun. West brings us to the ocean, our vast and luminous seascape where we can surrender all, and where all flows to us effortlessly. The color black represents west on the Medicine Wheel. You will receive a black tourmaline chip stone to correspond with West. Black tourmaline is a protection stone that creates an energy shield around you, deflecting negative energy and sealing holes in your auric space. This stone will prevent energy bleeding or energy depletion if you have sources of energy drain in your life. It will also work to prevent nightmares, and just generally keep you feeling safe and well.
Finally, in the East we find new beginnings, possibility and the dawn of all that is fresh. Here we connect with Air and the spirits of eagle and hawk. We turn to the East for the season of Spring as the sun returns to us. And yellow represents this direction. You will receive a yellow jasper chip stone to correspond with East. Yellow jasper is a Solar Plexus Chakra stone that creates a sense of stability and gives one a feeling of being “enough.” It is a stone that amplifies personal power and courage, renewing energy as you need. Yellow jasper also increases our enthusiasm and channels positivity.
You will also receive a pink tourmaline faceted stone to place in the center of your medicine wheel. Pink tourmaline is the essential Heart Chakra stone, and in fact, it is an embodiment of the Divine Feminine. Pink tourmaline heals the heart like no other. It promotes wellness and abundance, openness to love, stress relief, and an ease of movement through transitional spaces. It is unsurpassed for healing old emotional wounds, particularly those sustained during childhood.
This listing is for one (1) Lakota Medicine Wheel, as described above. Yours will arrive lovingly parceled for your enjoyment and delight, along with a parchment describing the properties of these stones.
