These beautiful intention prayer altar cloths were handmade in Nepal and when I found them at the Tucson Gem Show I knew you, my priestesses, would love them. These gorgeous pieces can be placed upon your altar, worn as a scarf in ceremony, or hung on a wall as a tapestry. Known as a Khata, or blessing scarf in Tibetan Buddhism, these are essentially a prayer woven in soft high quality cotton. Also known as Khada, Khadag or Hada; the traditional ceremonial Tibetan scarf symbolizes prayer, purity, goodwill, auspiciousness, compassion, and sincerity of one’s offering.

How to use these intention prayer altar cloths

Traditionally these cloths/scarves are offered to relatives, friends, or venerated ones on ceremonial occasions, upon meeting or parting, or as a symbol of one’s respect, esteem, prayers, blessings, or good wishes. You may choose to offer yours to another or place it upon your altar as an offering. You can also wear it in meditation.

Each of these gorgeous scarves is printed with a beautiful series of intentional words: faith, hope, courage, serenity, harmony, and love. Use yours to infuse your altar with a prayer for these things in your life. Each cloth is 18×72” and I have a variety of colors to offer you. Please allow us to intuitively choose the color for you.

This listing is for one (1) intention prayer altar cloth. Yours will arrive lovingly wrapped and ready to bless your sacred space.
