My Durga Perfume is BACK with the same beautiful scent that made it a Sage Goddess favorite! We handcrafted this potion right here at Sage Goddess Headquarters with multiple varieties of jasmine – sambac, grandiflorum, night-blooming, and dawn-blooming. It’s inspired by Durga – the Hindu goddess of war and strength whose totem flower is jasmine.
These sexy flowers are an aphrodisiac that bring power and purpose. Cleopatra famously dipped her ships’ sails in jasmine to intoxicate those she meant to conquer. Oh yeah, the stuff of a night queen who sailed for a whole month to reach Marc Antony (and burned incense on her ships every night, I might add…).
This fragrance is potent and pure, but not too sweet. It captures the jasmine flower at dusk when its oils are most vibrant and viscous, syrupy with heaviness, ready to be distilled. We infused each bottle with a red jasper chip stone, a warrior stone for renewed strength and courage. Wear my Durga Perfume for a dose of sensuality and empowerment.

Who is Durga?
Durga is known as the protective mother of the universe. She fights against negative forces, frees the oppressed, and empowers creation. Durga is Sanskrit for ‘a fort’, symbolizing her fierceness and fortitude, making her an undefeatable presence. She usually appears riding a lion or a tiger towards battle.
In her many depictions, Durga has between eight and eighteen hands, each carrying a different weapon such as swords, bow and arrow, trident, discus, conch shell, and thunderbolt.
The Properties of Jasmine
Jasmine is one of the most expensive oils in the world, a symbol of the mother in Thailand, and gives a boost of energy, creativity, and joy. Its name comes from Yasmin, meaning “gift from God” in Persian. In Indonesia, jasmine symbolizes purity, eternal life, nobility, and feminine beauty. Its flowers bloom at night, earning it the nickname “Queen of the Night.”

This was my first REAL favorite scent from Sage Goddess. Amazing.. I love it so much. Really perfect for someone who adores jasmine, like me. Some jasmine perfumes/oils have an indolic facet which I can’t stand. Durga is not like that at all. Durga is sweet and rich, bright and pure, innocent and sexy at the same time. There is nothing overwhelming, dark, scary or off-putting here. I find it hard to imagine anyone disliking this perfume, even those who think they hate jasmine. I consider myself an expert on the different types of jasmine out there, so if you are unsure about Durga, here are some words to describe her: non-indolic, fresh, springlike, welcoming, sweetly sexy. The best kind of jasmine there is 😉

Durga! This perfume is one of my top favorites. It is jasmine but very well rounded.. It’s not too much and it’s very powerful stuff. I love this oil.

I love jasmine so I knew I would love this one and I do. If you mix a little Durga with a little bit of Arx…you have an invincible shield around you and they blend brilliantly together. Love Durga. Will keep buying it for sure!
