We just unpacked this INCREDIBLE Handpainted Mini Djembe Peace Drum from our time at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show, and it comes from Bali. According to the Bambara people in Mali, the word djembe originates from the saying, “Anke dje, anke bé,” meaning, “Everyone, gather together in peace.” The word “dje” means “to gather,” and “bé” is peace – and the harmonious union of the people is exactly what these drums symbolize. Drumming has been used in many cultures for centuries, and it’s a sacred ritual in many spiritual traditions and practices.
