Behold the power and beauty of this African Shangaan Amethyst! Simply stunning, these pieces were only recently found and have been hand-selected with enhydros, scepters, and hematite inclusions. Although not every piece has every inclusion, they all have something special in them and are absolutely gorgeous. This particular gem comes from the Chibuku mine and is named after the place it comes from – the Shangaan tribal area in Zimbabwe, Africa. 

African Shangaan Amethyst is often mistaken for Brandberg amethyst, but they are not the same. Brandberg amethyst is a blend of amethyst and clear and smoky quartz, while African Shangaan Amethyst is amethyst with enhydros, scepters, and/or hematite inclusions.

Personally, my experience working with these so far has been about healing the feminine line – connecting with, owning it, reintegrating the wisdom of the feminine in your line, and being in relationship with your inner feminine.

Enhydro inclusion occurs when water gets trapped inside a stone causing water bubbles. Enhydro crystals contain water that’s over a hundred million years old. Scepters occur when a new quartz crystal forms over and caps a previously formed prismatic crystal. This shape of stone serves to stimulate the emotional body and help you release any trapped or buried anger, resentment, or fear.

Amethyst with hematite inclusions are often called red amethyst. When they work in tandem, it creates a calming and focused rotation of energy in the body. Hematite keeps the energetic flow moving and allows you to be mindfully grounded while gaining a fearless conviction in your pursuits. The unique mix of these inclusions make this African Shangaan Amethyst a rare and invaluable piece.
